class=\"translation-block\">Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Women's Affairs Division, in collaboration with the College of Law, organized a scientific dialogue workshop titled 'The Role of Women's Organizations in Raising Women's Awareness.' The workshop was presented by M.M. Haneen Alaa Abdul Amir, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar, the Director of the Division, and followed by M.M. Zainab Khalid Muhi, the liaison officer in the College Unit, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.\n\nThe session highlighted that during the previous regime in Iraq, women's civil society activities had little impact, as the ruling system did not allow non-governmental activities or those not stemming from the authority of the ruler. Today, Iraq is witnessing an increasing activity of women's civil society organizations. These organizations have been established over the past few years to promote the participation of Iraqi women in decision-making and community-building. They address a wide range of issues related to women's rights, such as combating gender-based violence, enhancing political and social participation of women, providing legal and psychological support for victims, and promoting education and vocational training for them while encouraging their participation in the labor market.\n\nThese organizations now play a crucial role in raising awareness of women's issues and changing societal views on their role, as well as building partnerships with government institutions and international and local organizations to achieve their goals for further change. This seminar was an effective step toward implementing the National Strategy for Iraqi Women, particularly in the political aspect, and achieving the fifth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which is 'Gender Equality<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-341abb2c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\"
